About Nathan Katz

I am a 29 year old, recently retired Judo Olympian from Sydney, Australia. Alongside my younger brother Josh, I qualified for my first Olympic Games at 21 and competed at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games following in the footsteps of my Mum who had done so before me. 5 years later, I finished in the Top 16 at my 2nd Olympic Games in Tokyo. I won a Bronze medal at the 2022 Birmingham Commonwealth Games, before retiring from competitive Judo in late 2023. I am in the final year of a Bachelor of Sports Media degree, and am active and passionate speaker as a part of the Olympic Committee's Olympics Unleashed program and various other Corporate events. In the past, I have served as a Community Custodian for Lifeline Australia and a brand Ambassador for the Black Dog Institute. I am particularly passionate about breaking down some of the stigma's surrounding mental health and being a positive figure in this space. Over the past 18 months, my younger brother Josh and I have started our own independent speaking and mentoring business, with our mission to help others reach their potential in primary and high schools, sporting clubs and corporate organisations across Australia. We touch on goal setting, building resilience and determination, and creating successful daily habits and behaviours.Presentations will be delivered to large groups, with mentoring to focus on small group individual activities.In my transition away from being an athlete, I am also an U/21 National Judo Team Coach, and personal coach of my younger brother Josh who will compete at his 2nd Olympic Games in Paris this year.Please get in touch if you would like to connect for any business opportunities.
