I like problem solving. In school I always enjoyed math and physics. Engineering allows me to apply that in the real world. Technical Skills include-Solidworks – My favorite design tool. I have used this software since college. In 2020 I was fortunate enough to attend 3DExperience world in Nashville-DriveWorks – I am a Certified DriveWorks Professional and company lead on implementing this design automation solution-AutoCAD – My backup design tool. I learned how to use this software during a year long co-op and have used it in every engineering position I have held afterwards-Excel and VBA programming – My favorite Windows tools. I have created many programs and calculators from this pair-3D printing – I co-lead an effort to source a new printer for my current employer. It was a great experience and the department got a new “toy” out of it. In all seriousness it is a great machine and has been used for prototyping and production level parts. Professional accomplishments include-Multiple projects involving one-off designs of current Span Tech product including: A large spiral using a specialized drive assembly and chain return. A multiple conveyor system splitting one lane of conveyor into many followed by a transpositor reject system. A high speed switch designed to meet Diary 3-A hygenic requirements-Patents – While in my current R&D role I have been involved with atleast 2 unique patents relating to the EZGuide Guiderail system-As an intern at a previous employer, I was involved with establishing the processes and procedures for a brand-new manufacturing line the utilized a new technology. The first of its kind at that facility. Following that I became the subject matter expert on the technology and the lead the installation of two additional lines.
