About Nathan Loewen
Since graduating from the Fish, Wildlife and Recreation Diploma Program at BCIT (2016), I have pursued a career in renewable resources and park operations with experience working for Metro Vancouver Regional Parks and the City of Port Coquitlam until I joined Redcedar Environmental Consulting Inc. in 2020 as an environmental consultant. As an ISA Certified Arborist, Certified Erosion and Sediment Control Lead (ESCA BC), and having a certificate in pesticide application, I have gained experience in arboriculture and tree inventories, noxious weed management, ecological restoration, environmental monitoring, wildlife and bird nest surveys, fish and amphibian salvaging, and Riparian Area Protection Regulation assessments. Prior to this I have managed a deconstruction contracting company, and earned a B.A.(Geography) from UBC. Many years of volunteer experience with conservation, ecological restoration and advocacy have instilled a passion for contributing to the sustainability of our region.
