About Nathan MacKenzie

Currently completing a Masters of Teaching (secondary) and a Graduate Certificate in Theology at ACU Brisbane. I contract for Authentic Steps, a company that develops leadership programs for teenagers, through educating and empowering participants to understand who they are and how to be their best. Previous experience working in outdoor education & teacher aide roles. I enjoy empowering people whether in a school setting, through outdoor education, or in life skills. I have a passion for working with youth and young adults, mentoring, counselling and teaching. Also I have volunteered in different organisations, led on many youth camps, been involved in local sporting clubs, and participated in a Ph.D. study while in my undergraduate course at university. My work in exercise rehabilitation assisting people to return to work and educating clients on how to live to their potential and beyond has flowed onto my current work and interests, looking at holistic ways to empower people in their pursuit of happiness. Some of my hobbies are running, bike riding, hiking & camping, hanging out with mates, reading & drinking coffee.
