Background
About Nathan Moses
By the age of six, I was completing college-level math and science courses. This accelerated path allowed me to consume and complete online college content at the age of eight, taking as little as one week to complete a 12-week course. I completed my high school education at 7, finishing all relevant AP courses by 8. At ten years old, I applied for a Teaching Assistant position in a Computer Programming MOOC offered by MIT. I was thrilled when I found out I was one of the few who got accepted out of 30+ applicants. This opportunity allowed me to broaden my knowledge in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Molecular Biology, Cell Biology, Biochemistry, and Electrical Material Properties. I currently TA for more than 20 courses in these fields, which has further deepened my understanding of these subjects. I continue this role to this day, as I've been requested to continue my role. In the same year, I was honored to receive public recognition twice during seperate live virtual sessions led by Professor David J. Malan, Gordon McKay Professor of the Practice of Computer Science at Harvard University, during live virtual sessions of Harvard’s renowned CS50 course. CS50 is the largest Computer Science course in the world, and in front of a global audience, Professor Malan personally showcased my code. This experience was both formative and inspiring, strengthening my technical skills and motivating me to pursue more advanced and impactful projects. At 11 years old, I was selected to be a Mentor for Professor Malan’s online CS50 courses. As a Mentor, I guide students through their coursework, answer their questions, and provide feedback on their code. I currently mentor students for all of their 12 CS courses, which has allowed me to develop my leadership skills and help others succeed. I continue this role to this day. One month later, I unveiled the ClovisCOVID Project. Part 1 was released in April 2020, just weeks after the U.S. lockdown began. At age 12, I released Part 2 of the ClovisCOVID Project. At 13 years old, I simultaneously completed four simultaneous credit-equivalent online degrees. The content for these degrees was from the best universities in the world, including MIT, Harvard, and Stanford. These degrees covered the collective areas of Genetic Engineering, Nanotechnology, Artificial Intelligence, and Computer Science and Engineering. At 14 years old, I founded the CloviScience Initative. At age 15, I was a 2024 Thiel Fellow Finalist recognized for the CloviScience Initative. I am now 16.
