About Nathan Starr

Senior Hydrogeologist with seventeen years experience in water resource and environmental consulting. Accomplishments include the establishment of a water resource and environmental practice, including recruitment and management of staff for the new practice, which generated over a million dollars in revenue annually; Board membership in Reuse of Inert Waste Technical Work Group, which developed and presented to the community a General Discharge Waiver for metal-impacted soils; diversification of company client base to include American-Indian tribes, Navy, municipalities, materials companies, land development entities and national railways; development of strategic attorney-consultant collaborative project team. Technical expertise includes design and completion of environmental site assessments; soil vapor indoor air intrusion assessments; numerical groundwater modeling for both regional groundwater and localized fate and transport studies; human health risk assessments; design, optimization and implementation of groundwater monitoring programs; monitoring and pumping well design and construction; and facilitation of projects through the CERCLA process including development of RI/FSs. Marketing expertise includes establishment of new client relationships and maintenance and growth of existing client relationships; and expansion into new client sectors with increases in project scopes. Management expertise includes recruitment, hiring, training, management and mentoring of environmental staff.
