About Nathan Tuckwell

During my time at Sky, I started as a graduate and quickly progressed to forming and leading a team dedicated to implementing a shift-left testing approach. Our mission was to transition from manual testing to automation, streamlining our processes for greater efficiency. In my initial year, we experimented with Java and developed a set of microservices using Spring Boot and REST APIs. Later, when I established a team, we transitioned to creating a Python framework tailored to our specific needs. Our primary goal was to simplify test creation, enabling faster development cycles and allowing team members with varying levels of expertise to contribute. To support our automation efforts, we utilised Jenkins for our CI/CD pipeline. This integration seamlessly works with our framework, facilitating on-demand, nightly, and weekly builds.
