About Nathan Vernau

I have worked a variety of jobs in the past four years covering fine arts and library science. Having received my MFA in studio art, I am aiming to start a career in the art field. I am looking to gain exposure on a regional, national, and international level with my artwork. My artwork has been included in publications "The Madison Review," and will be in the Midwest Edition of "New American Paintings." I have experience in museum settings working with installation crews and curators, as well as personally assisting artist's in the construction and completion of their work. I have experience in many different art-forms, and have also constructed my own frames for my work. While working in the University of Wisconsin's Digital Collections, I encountered first-hand experience in handling fragile, archived materials ranging from artist's books to photo album's from the 1890's and color-lithograph printed books from the 1700's. I worked with the Better Light digital camera scanner while using Adobe Photoshop to manipulate the images. I am looking for work in creative, artistic fields. Specialties: Attention to detail, Better Light digital camera, art gallery installation, artist assisting, working well within a group.
