During my 5-year tenure as a teacher, I discovered an unanticipated passion: Coding. While guiding my students through an Electrical Engineering unit using Arduino Unos, I experienced the thrill of writing code and watching it come to life. This ignited a passion for software development. Software Experience Mini Quaist: Within a scrum team, I contributed to the development of Mini Quaist, a video game designed to introduce new players to Dungeons & Dragons principles. I created the dynamic AI-driven character dialogue, powered by OpenAI’s API, making the character come to life. Users can filter songs and create playlists based on Spotify danceability. Snippet Hub: As a full-stack developer, I created Snippet Hub, a Django application that efficiently manages code snippets using SQLite. This project allowed me to dive deep into both front-end and back-end technologies. Agile Practices: I led Agile practices within a team setting—daily stand-ups, task organization on Trello, and thorough code reviews. Ensuring quality assurance and seamless collaboration were my priorities. Freelance Work: I am currently working on a variety of projects for clients using a diversity of tech stacks including React, Django, Wix, WordPress, and LangChain/LLMs. Education Experience Camelot Academy: Pioneered Camelot’s first Electrical Engineering unit using Arduino Unos was a defining moment. Every student created and programmed their unique devices. Teaching and coding intersected beautifully. 🧑‍ STEM Mentorship: As a STEM mentor teacher and curriculum developer, I guided and evaluated math teachers during summer instruction. I crafted project-based curricula for Math 2, Math 3, and Engineering courses. NCPA’s First Physics Course: I developed and taught NCPA’s inaugural physics course, igniting curiosity and scientific exploration in over 400 students.
