About Nathan Wilson

I am a mathematics teacher with seven years of experience. During my collegiate years I trained at several practicums that focused on differentiated instruction, best practices, backwards-designed curriculum development, and overall classroom instruction. I also spent time at Indiana University Kokomo as a mathematics tutor, reaching out to college students and tutoring in fields such was Algebra, Precalculus and Trigonometry, Statistics and Probability, Finite mathematics, applied mathematics, Differential Calculus (Calc. I) and Integral Calculus ( Calc. II). Furthermore, I have privately tutored students in Applied Calculus and Economics. I graduated top of my class and was awarded the Outstanding Student in Bachelor of Science in Secondary Education among my peers in the Education cohort. I also achieved the Valedictorian position when I graduated Lewis Cass Jr./Sr. High School in 2011. Lastly, I recently graduated with an M.S. in Mathematics at Indiana State University with my research thesis pertaining to Probability Theory and the applications of the hypergeometric distribution in relation to card counting. I’m also working on a M.S in Data Science at Eastern University. My goal with this aforementioned degree is to become a fully capable data scientist and to enhance my academic acumen in mathematics as well.
