About Nathanial Carnes

I have worked in many different workplaces. I started with volunteer work with NMCRS, learning out to help around an office and how important certain things are to be done within a time sensitive matter, or overall sensitive documents. Moving on to my first job, in high school, when I took on a job as an assistant karate instructor. I learned how to diffuse confrontations among people in public and within the workplace. I learned how to teach in different ways and how different many people learn. I learned to be able to work with people of many different backgrounds and attitudes. I learned to be able to clean meticulously and daily, instilling a sense of time management and mental checklists. I moved onto retail after high school graduation, starting at the "Troop Store" on Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point. I worked on the sales floor and as a cashier. This has taught me how to speak respectfully and work at a fast and thorough pace in a stressful fast paced environment. Same as I have done at Food Lion. I did an internship my Junior year of college with Bear Tech Solutions in New Bern. I graduated in May of 2021 from Western Carolina University, with a BS in Computer Information Systems. I have taken multiple classes in Japanese. I have an intermediate use in python using VS Code, SQL in Access, and working with Tableau. I worked as a consultant for Geek Squad my senior year of college, and had the opportunity to work as an IT Technician for Pamlico County schools. I stayed for just over a year, and the moved to Leland working as the on-site IT Tech for Carolina Dunes.
