About Nathanial Eatwell

Nathanial is a Designated Safeguarding Lead with over 15 years experience working in Alternative Provision with some of the most vulnerable children in our society. With an eye for the big picture Nathanial has experience of working at a strategic level with safeguarding partners across the northwest and has developed local, regional and national responses to contemporary safeguarding issues such as Child Exploitation and Emotional Health and Wellbeing. As a member of strategic operational groups overseeing the regional responses to contextual safeguarding and neglect he has extensive knowledge of issues facing the young people in need of support from third sector agencies. Passionate about the impact of adverse childhood experiences and committed to continuing and furthering his understanding through changes in local and national policy and the research behind it; he lobbies for change where he can and strives to make positive steps in the community and across the education sector.
