Visionary, innovative and effective nonprofit executive and thought leader committed to driving meaningful impact on the entrenched issues of domestic violence and homelessness while advancing significant organizational growth. Led the transformation of URI, a non-profit organization that since 1980 has been providing comprehensive health and human services throughout NYC to victims of domestic violence, homeless families, and people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Instituted a sound new strategic direction focusing on service excellence, staff growth and opportunity, programmatic innovation, fiscal viability, and mission impact in NYC and beyond. Steered the agency through the successful 2018 merger with CADV to increase URI’s scope and scale, resulting in URI’s position as the largest provider in the US of domestic violence shelter services. Reversed 5 consecutive years of losses to consistent year over year growth, quintupling the annual budget from $17 million to nearly $100 million, while ensuring revenue met and/or exceeded expenses. An authentic and hands-on leader who inspires staff excellence and quality service to ensure the best opportunity for both thriving clients and a flourishing organization. A well respected thought leader, advisor and contributor to diverse government agencies, organizations and task forces addressing policy and social issues at city, state and national levels.
