Nathaniel "Lyric" Lerma is an audio engineer, musician, A/V technician, producer/DJ, IT support assistant, & current graduate student of the University of Colorado Denver's Masters of Recording Arts program. They are a ProTools certified audio engineer & producer with a decade of live & studio audio experience. Lyric is an adept at recording, mixing, & mastering audio tracks, & holds knowledge of musical structure and genre categorization in both popular & academic/orchestral settings. Additionally, they have skills as a live events technician, classroom A/V assistant, & library/administrative experience. Lyric is largely self-motivated & action-driven, relying on their resilience, strength, & ambitions to progress while achieving high performances in the work place. They possess a strong ability to communicate effectively in any situation. In strengths, Lyric is a responsive, insightful, & intuitive dreamer. Lyric graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelors in Music Technology at West Texas A&M University, where they were involved in various performance ensembles & music service/professional fraternities Kappa Kappa Psi & Mu Phi Epsilon. With over two decades of classical training, Lyric plays trumpet, percussion, bass guitar, ukulele, keyboards, electronic hardware, & vocals. Lyric's additional skills include: live audio engineering, audio/video production and engineering, audio recording, mixing, and mastering, live event production, event management, musical theory & analysis, conducting, song writing, graphical coding, sound design, and a variety of other related skills. Following their love & passion of sharing music with others, Lyric is a practicing freelance DJ, providing entertainment for various crowds, bars, camps, weddings, & events. Their current focus of study revolves around music, meditation, and open-source DIY music controllers. Outside of the world of audio, Lyric enjoys voice acting, photography, software coding, literature, philosophy, theology, & psychology. They are an avid lover of making & sharing coffees & teas, and they enjoy cooking & grilling for friends & family. When not working on projects, they enjoy playing video games, story telling, reading, web surfing, and watching various video essays & documentaries on a large variety of subjects. Lyric is also an active advocate of mental health, civil rights, natural conservation, & humanitarianism.
