I am currently seeking to understand the consequences of foreign direct investment on local economic conditions, including technology transfer, income inequality and overall economic growth and diversification. In particular, I am interested in defining the impact that income inequality has on foreign direct investment decisions, in order to offer policy suggestions aimed at curbing or reversing trends in the growth of inequality. My work is focused on the more rapidly expanding economies of nations commonly referred to as emerging. Other research areas include international knowledge transfer and the performance (broadly construed) of equity and non-equity joint ventures.
