National participation and engagement lead for a national forum for leaving care managers, social workers and care leavers. Key skills and achievements- Qualified Operations & Department Manager (Level 5 Apprenticeship)- 15 years experience of participation voice and engagement work in children’s and adults health and social care- Co-production expertise (managing projects and training staff and participants)- Project management skills and experience- managing staff and volunteers on a range of projects and services - Hybrid Events: Managing creating and delivering virtual & hybrid events (utilising Hopin, MS Teams, Zoom)- Over 20 years experience of running physical events including Conferences, Black Tie, music events and small support groups- Managing development and day to day running of forum websites (Wordpress)- confident trainer and presenter with key areas of knowledge include participation/co-production, preparing for adult life and person centred planning 20 years in Health and Social care. 5 years of this time was spent as Residential Social Care Worker in Children's Homes (3 years in a senior role). For the last 11 years I have worked for Catch22. 2 years of this was spent project managing the LIFT Children's Homes Project as part of the National Care Advisory Service and the following 9 years co-ordinating the National Leaving Care Benchmarking Forum and the young people's participation elements of this work YPBMF involving voice work, website management and events management for our 130 local authority members.For 6 years I worked for a voluntary sector organisation supporting unpaid carers and campaigning for better services. This included a year secondment with Manchester City Council brokerage team working with recipients of social on personalised support packages in Health and Social Care. For the final two years of employment with MCF, I was appointed Operations Manager. This involved project managing a diverse range of funded projects for the organisation with partners such as DfE, NHS, Manchester City Council, Big lottery and SCIE. I have over 25 yearned experience in Music and Events as a vocalist and band leader for over 20 years. Working with a professional musicians from across the Greater Manchester/North West I run a small, professional and high standard entertainment service including Folkin Out, Funked It Up.
