About Nathaniel Teo

Honors Computer Systems Engineering student at Arizona State University enrolled in Barrett, the Honors College. Worked as a research assistant to modify gem5, a computer architecture simulator, to test the functionality of a novel in-memory processor via implementing an extension of the RISC-V ISA. Active member and former team leader at the Next Generation Service Corps working to develop solutions to the educational needs of schools in Arizona via partnerships across the private, nonprofit, and public sector space. Worked with the Volcker Alliance as the Next Generation Service Corps program ambassador for ASU to establish connections between 17 partner university programs across the nation and design and facilitate program-wide events for over 300 students. Coach for 10+ VEX robotics teams for over 7 years, teaching C programming, autonomous systems, and mechanical engineering principles to students ranging from elementary to high school. Led teams to multiple state championship titles and numerous world championship qualifications. Key volunteer at 18x18az, a nonprofit dedicated to improving the quality of robotics competitions in Arizona, serving as a match commentator at local, state, and world championship events.
