About Nathaniel Wardle

The role of a communicator is constantly evolving, but there is one area that is essential. When a crisis hits, you need a calm, steady voice who knows how to respond with the right message at the right time. As an expert communicator who has also worked as emergency manager and meteorologist, I have the ability to easily inform others of the issue at hand, and lead communication efforts to answer the basic questions of who, what, when, why and how. As someone who has led public health communication through pandemics, natural disasters and difficult health topics, I am meant to help others through difficult times. With emergency management and communications experience, and degrees in meteorology and emergency management, my background allows me a unique opportunity to work effectively with any audience. My emergency management and disaster experience sets me apart and gives me the ability to lead emergency management efforts for any organization. Whether natural disaster, man-made disaster or pandemic, I have the ability to excel in preparing, exercising, responding and recovering from any disaster. From the moment I watched the coverage of Hurricane Katrina in 2005, it became clear to me that I wanted to find a role that helps people during difficult situations, and also communicate clearly the risks. Whether it is providing life-saving severe weather information, communicating about a disaster or emergency, or sharing information to improve one's health, the message is to be shared with compassion and urgency. I am well-prepared for any position and to lead communication efforts during an unprecedented time in our world, and in communicating effectively.
