About Nathyn Carpenter

For years I struggled managing my life, time, and goals. Until I began implementing the principals of ABA into my daily routine. I personally believe ABA is so much more than what is being used for today. A personal and professional goal of mine is to dispel the myths and raise awareness of Applied Behavioral Analysis and its benifits. I began my career in ABA as a Behavior Technician, I had just left my home state of Connecticut working at Amazon and moved back to North Carolina and was looking for a job that would give me more purpose. I had the opportunity to work in ABA as a technician before but I was younger and much more immature and didn’t believe it was a good fit. With that, I don’t know if I had ever been more wrong in my life. I began working as a tech right before the years turn of 2021, and fell in love. The holistic approach as well as the data driven results made me feel this was an opportunity to really have an impact. As time progressed so did my curiosity of the industry as a whole and I debated going to college to pursue a path as a BCBA, but another route opened. I was pursuing getting my RBT certification, when the company I had been working for began to have serious issues with their 3rd party billing partner. As our BCBA and other techs were strapped for time and decided that the best way to be of service was to learn how to bill for the services we provide. Although much less gratifying than providing direct services to our clients, it was in hindsight one of my best decisions. I had learned how an ABA Therapy company works on the outside I had now began to learn the inner machinations of how they can thrive. Working with insurance providers and a variety of behavioral health management softwares I absorbed as much information as I could. Then came the next step in my journey. In the beginning of 2022, I had been promoted to business manager with the goal of improving our marketing strategy and getting our facility to capacity. It was at this time I began talking to a variety of marketing service providers. Very few had met the requirements and had the knowledge I felt would be greatly beneficial to our organization. Not that they weren’t exceptional at what they do but ABA is a heavily regulated industry and I felt that required a specialist. As I searched I found far and few between that could provide what I was looking for. So I began to learn once again, and decided I would become the specialist that I wished to hire.
