About Navanitha Moorthy

Navanitha Moorthy is an MSc in Information systems and researcher at Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS (UTP), Malaysia. She acquired her early education in the Malaysian state of Johor. Navanitha completed a Bachelor's in Information Technology (Hons) from UTP in 2021. Her passion for technology prompted her to pursue postgraduate study in a related field. Navanitha is now pursuing a research-based master's degree. Her research interests include educational technology, with a particular emphasis on micro-credentials. Navanitha has written a few journal articles. She previously participated in a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme throughout her undergraduate years. During CSR programmes, she took the role of Project Manager and managed the implementation of a programme entitled "SMART KAMPUNG 2.0." The CSR program's purpose is to increase rural students' knowledge of information technology. She designed several modules for the curriculum, including Web Application Development, Visual Basic, and Robotics. She took on the role of facilitator for the GLU STEM programme at UTP. She concentrated on the Technology component of the GLU STEM programme, where she was required to conduct a session with students about robotics. Additionally, Navanitha is an entrepreneur, owning a small business that specialises in graphics designing.
