I started my career as what people term as "Accidental DBA". Experienced Database Engineer with a demonstrated history of working in the financial services industry. Skilled in Cloud MSSQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle Database, SunOS, Linux Servers, and Sybase Adaptive Server & IQ. Strong information technology professional with M.Sc focused in Information Systems Management from De Montfort University. I have always enjoyed facing new challenges and issues while at work. As an experienced IT infrastructure professional, I have been fortunate to build a lucrative career around my passion. I'm a seasoned Database Administrator with over 14 years of international and cross-cultural experience in the IT industry. With an appetite for finding technical solutions and refining systems and infrastructures, I have spent the past 5 years working in Habib Bank A G Zurich managing IT disciplines such as Database & OS Administration, Storage maintenance, Planning and Implementation. Currently I am working with Alphadata for ADIA handling Oracle ExaCC/DBCS/ATP migrations and SQL 2019 - IAAS/PAAS/SAAS My exceptional skills in Database, Automation and Tuning gave me a chance to streamline the process in my company. I also possess expertise in maintenance and troubleshooting, user management and providing backup and monitoring solutions on multiple platforms and preparing SOPs for my team. My dedication and in-depth knowledge have seen me climb the ladder of success from a Database Administrator to an Operating Systems and Applications Support and Solutions Architect. I have received recognition for my achievements with respect to the successful DR drills for the servers which were stranded stand alone. My intellectual curiosity makes me a lifelong learner. On my quest to sharpen my skills and knowledge in order to enhance my productivity, I have completed CISA certification with AWS DB Specialty exam & Azure DP300 in parallel to upgrading my PostgreSQL knowledge.
