About Navid Maddahi

As an experienced Structural Engineer with over 7 years of experience, I offer expertise in the design of various structures including commercial and residential mid- to high-rise concrete and steel structures, power plants, hotels, and foundations. My commitment to continuous improvement in design processes and procedures enables me to meet regulatory and industry code requirements. I hold a Master's degree in Structural Engineering and am proficient in design software such as ETABS, and SAFE. I possess in-depth knowledge of industry codes such as ACI318, ASCE-07, AISC360, AISC358, and FEMA547. As a skilled designer and leader, I have a proven track record of coordinating with internal and external partners, providing technical guidance to design-build teams, and delivering successful projects. My strong interpersonal and communication skills, honed through cross-functional collaborations, technical presentations, and publications, further enhance my ability to collaborate effectively with clients and stakeholders. Throughout my career, I have held various positions, including Lead Structural Designer, Senior Structural Engineer, Construction Supervisor, and Structural Engineer. These roles have provided me with the opportunity to design complex 3D computer models, supervise teams, stamp and seal construction drawings, communicate directly with clients, and mentor and direct employees. My volunteer activities, including serving as Chair of the Newcomers and International Student Subcommittee at The University of Calgary and as Vice President of the Iranian Graduate Students' Association, demonstrate my commitment to giving back to the community.
