Background
About Navya Singhal
TL;DR - I'm looking for full-time product, strategy, or analytics roles and would love to chat to see if I'm a good fit! Email: navya.singhal@utexas.edu If you'd like to know me beyond my resume, keep on reading When someone asks me about my background, I never know where to start! Do I begin with finance, where I learned to follow the money? Or with startups, where I built things from scratch? Maybe with analytics, where I now break down data to find answers. At IIM Indore, one of India’s top B-schools, every day during my bachelor's felt brand new juggling STEM courses with Humanities and even Performing Arts. Somewhere between endless quizzes, fests, and field visits, I made my way into an MBA where I was immersed in case competitions while running a startup on the side. My career began as an Equity Research Analyst at Goldman Sachs, where I learned how to spot trends, tell compelling stories with data, and stay two steps ahead of the market. The cool perk? I got to read, write, and analyze aerospace and defense companies — fighter jets, space tech, and billion-dollar deals — and get paid for it. But I wanted to build, not just analyze. So I jumped into Pocket FM, a Series D audio-tech startup, where I worked with editors, producers, and even Hollywood creatives to scale the app in the US market. I loved working on creating a testing framework to predict whether a show would succeed before launch, which involved listening to many audio series all day (and somehow still getting paid for it). Then came the UK expansion — a small team of 5, launching in a new market from scratch. The GTM process was a mix of early failures and big wins. I was a performance marketer for TikTok, Google UAC, and META channels, a product manager for user onboarding, and a project manager for getting new content out — all at once. At the time, I didn’t realize these were three separate roles — I just loved working on new challenges. Watching AI reshape content creation and decision-making made me want to understand it deeply, so I stepped back into student mode — this time at UT Austin, diving into ML, LLM, AI, RAG, and all the other acronyms I didn’t know a few months ago. This is my third (and probably last!) degree, but my curiosity hasn’t slowed down. If you’ve made it to the end of my monologue, I already like you (and hope you like me, too!). Let's connect, and feel free to drop me a message!
