As the Founder of PalestinianMade, I partner with refugee artisans in the West Bank to bring fashionable embroidered and metal-crafted accessories for resale in the US. The goal of my business is twofold: to support the economic empowerment of marginalized refugees and to preserve Palestine's artisanal heritage. Throughout my life, I envisioned building resilient refugee communities by enhancing the quality and quantity of income-generation opportunities. As a Palestinian refugee myself, I know first-hand the struggle many women face to sustain their livelihoods under occupation. As the founder of PalestinianMade, I leverage my business development, marketing, and sales skills to increase Palestinian entrepreneurs' access to international markets while supporting the viability of traditional industries. PalestinianMade provides delicately-crafted embroidered jewelry and fashion apparel including, but not limited to, bracelets, necklaces, rings, velvet shawls, and thobes (traditional Palestinian dresses).
