About Neda Khaledi

As a dedicated and passionate educator and scientist, I have always been driven to inspire and empower my students to reach their full potential. My experience in higher education, both as a student and as a professor, has given me the opportunity to explore my own interests and share my knowledge and expertise with others. My journey in academia began as an undergraduate student, where I discovered my love for sport science and activities. After completing my bachelor degree, I pursued a master in exercise physiology at the University of Tehran, where I had the opportunity to work with esteemed scholars and conduct research in molecular exercise physiology. This experience solidified my desire to pursue a career in academia, and I went on to complete a PhD at the University of a Tehran. Throughout my academic and professional career, I have had the opportunity to teach and mentor students at various levels, and have consistently received positive feedback for my ability to engage and inspire them. I believe that education should be an interactive, dynamic process and I strive to create a classroom environment where students feel comfortable to express themselves, ask questions and actively participate in the learning process. In addition to teaching, I have also been actively engaged in research in various fields such as kinesio genomic, epigenetic and exercise, diabetes and physical activities modalities, and cancer and exercise interventions. My research has been published in respected academic journals and I have presented my findings at various conferences. I have also secured grants and funding to support my research. Furthermore, I have participated in two international study opportunities through collaboration with professors and have been able to achieve valuable research accomplishments. Currently, I am working on research at the university of Calgary in the field of fatigue and exercise physiology and my research goal is to investigate methods of evaluating and assessing the ability of individuals with physical disabilities. The ability of individuals who participate in various sports activities using a wheelchair is one of the main goals of this project.
