Background
About Neel Sheth
A versatile engineer currently working with the Performance Services Group as a Senior Engineer. Our goal is to increase reliability and reduce downtime for wind and solar farms across the US. We collaborate with data and field engineering groups to provide performance engineering expertise. I have worked extensively on all major DFIG wind turbines and hydro generators to increase reliability and reduce downtime by improving the brush/slipring designs. Interned at Suzlon Wind Energy Corporation (SWECO), Chicago. Performed aero-elastic loads analyses of utility scale wind turbines based on FLEX5 rain-flow design standards. Took part in wind turbine blade icing studies at the Penn State AERTS lab. Safety trained to work at heights, OSHA certified and trained in fire safety with the NFPA70E certification. Graduate research at Penn State was wind resource assessment and 3kW wind turbine performance modeling using field data and software based simulation.
