Greetings:) Welcome to my LinkedIn. My name is Neera. I'm an Arts Programmer, with a special passion and interest in infusing creativity, connectivity and community in every project I undertake. I have a background in Visual Communication and Advertising, and my MA degree certifies me with a background in Arts Administration. Its taken me a bit to realise, but my strengths basically boil down to this- I pride myself on putting in extra effort to be innovative. I'll happily take any excuse to look for a fresh approach or a new perspective, and it usually works out great- I prioritise people's experiences. I believe innovation helps shape people's experiences and the way they are exposed to and engage with art and anything art related. Keeping my audience at the forefront of my thinking is what I do- I also have a very community-centred approach. People's experiences don't just end with their own, but as a programmer, I tend to strategise in a manner that looks at shaping the community experience at large, so people are brought together by the art, and walk away with a new sense of belonging- My approach to programming is very story-like, where every element has a purpose and function and after thorough research and thought, comes together seamlessly to instill and foster an appreciation for the arts with the right audiences. I hope this gives you a much better insight into my work ethic in this new capacity.
