About Neeraj Goyal

I am a software engineer at Qualcomm, where I advance a multi-platform embedded framework for AI-based processing on Android phones. I led the creation of AI video processing systems for prominent smartphone OEMs, boosting framework efficiency. I also perform comprehensive performance testing to ensure the new features align with power and speed prerequisites. I did a master's in computer science from the University of Alberta, focusing on Advanced AI. I contributed to the Mitacs projects, building an OCR model to extract details from player cards and improving card prediction accuracy by 1.5x. I also researched tree branch identification and segmentation using advanced computer vision techniques. My passion is to craft elegant solutions to intricate problems, leveraging my expertise in algorithms and data structures, embedded software systems, operating systems, machine learning, and distributed system design. I thrive on the challenge of turning complexity into simplicity, driving innovation and transforming challenges into opportunities. I believe in ethical practices, collaborative spirit, and personal responsibility, and I aim to make a meaningful impact in the field of computer science.
