About Neffi Walker

Neffi Walker believes life should be designed beautifully and a beautiful life is one designed with intention. As a mother of five, business owner and principal designer of The Black Home, Neffi Walker bridged the gap on family, creativity and business in ways that are enviable. Her approach on life to highlight the overlooked or undervalued beauties can be mirrored in the way she approaches design. Neffi Walker’s adaptation of minimalism is something marveled at by Architectural Digest, LA Times, Elle Decor, Refinery29, House Beautiful, Business of Home, Domino, Apartment Therapy, and her profoundly engaging following alike. Located at 7 William St in Newark, New Jersey, The Black Home is the destination for inspiration dedicated to highlighting the Black experience. Understanding the fear associated with black as it pertains to color and culture, Neffi Walker designed and curated a space where black is celebrated always, in all ways. The Black Home represents a celebration of Black artistry, creativity, and excellence. Our carefully curated home decor selection allows you to bring The Black Home into your home. The Black Home's mission is to establish ourselves as a premiere home and lifestyle company that amplifies the beauty in all things black from color to culture.
