About Neha Varma

Neha Varma is a Director, Investments with Temasek. Over the past fifteen years at Temasek, I have successfully led and managed investments worth over $15b across multiple sectors and geographies (India, USA, Europe, China, SEA). My experience spans public markets, private equity and venture capital. I joined Temasek in 2010 in the Singapore Headquarters, where I managed global financial services investments with a focus on insurance and payments. In 2016, I relocated to Mumbai to capture India’s positive macro-economic momentum, with the aim of building a larger India portfolio. I currently manage over $10b investments in India focused on Financial Services, IT services and early-stage tech. I also serve on the boards of multiple portfolio companies, in ITES, fintech and consumer-tech. I have worked closely with the senior leadership of portfolio companies on value creation initiatives. Key investments include: UST Holdings, PolicyBazaar, ICICI Bank, HDFC Life, AU Small Finance Bank, Country Delight, Upgrad, OneCard. I completed by MBA from IIMB (Directors Merit List) and am a qualified Chartered Accountant (CA Finals - All India Rank 7)
