About Neil Bates

SEO Team Lead for Digital Marketing Agency based in Derby, working with clients across the Home & Garden, Lifestyle, D2C, SaaS and Service industries to boost their organic performance. I have previous experience in a variety of fields, working before and during my three years studying for a BA English degree at City, University of London. I joined Frasers Group upon graduation as a Web Content Assistant, before moving into the SEO team as SEO Content Writer and my subsequent promotions to SEO and Content Executive and then to SEO Site Manager. Previous job roles include Digital Marketing Apprentice at Derbyshire County Cricket Club and Customer Experience Assistant at William Hill, plus various other part time roles. All in all, I have experience in SEO, digital marketing, copywriting, media and communications, customer service, manual labour and bartending. Outside of work, my passions include football, cricket, gym training, trail running, travelling, movies and reading. At weekends, you’ll likely find me socialising with my family, friends and/or partner.
