If you put people FIRST, your success will never be last! I know this because it is the cadence for which I have always operated my team with. Having worked in many capacities at Paychex and having seen what determines success - it is evident that valuing the individual and developing them in the way that works best for them has reaped great reward for everyone involved. People will only follow and take direction from leaders that they trust, and that trust is one that must be earned. As a leader, I take earning that trust very seriously, and I look for likeminded individuals whom I feel share a similar frame of mind and drive for success. Together, there is no saying where we will go. But first that trust must be established. My team’s culture can be described as supportive and success oriented. We bring together our strengths to elevate one another, and we treat opportunities collaboratively. When asked how I have held 13 straight years of overachievement to quota, it goes back to my people. When our team was the #1 team in the entire division, and every rep on my team qualified for Circle of Excellence - that was our culture speaking loud and clear - demonstrating what hard work and dedication to one another can breed. I look for a winning mindset, and the dedication to one’s own success as well as their peers.
