My career spans 25+ years, beginning with foundational roles at IBM and Microsoft and evolving into the founding and leadership of over 10 startup companies, including institutional spinoffs from national laboratories.Throughout my journey, I have focused on translating complex technologies—ranging from nanotechnology to software—into viable, scalable products. I have a proven track record of capital formation, having personally raised over $20 million, with those companies going on to raise more than $150 million.Key Career Highlights:* Corporate Leadership: Negotiated a $25 million investment for Microsoft and earned the Golden Circle and President's Award at IBM.* Entrepreneurship: Founded and led multiple ventures, including a synthetic diamond company (Argonne National Lab spinoff) and a profitable "brain games" company.* Ecosystem Building: Led Michigan State University’s entrepreneurship program to a Top 20 ranking and served as a Faculty member in Notre Dame’s Top 12 graduate program.* Public Service: Appointed by the U.S. Secretary of Commerce to the National Advisory Council on Innovation and Entrepreneurship (NACIE) and testified twice before the U.S. House of Representatives.
