About Neil Kaneshiro

Neil Kaneshiro has 30 years of experience in the construction industry focused on successful project delivery in engineering, construction and construction management; 15 of which were spent overseas in the Middle East, Afghanistan and Haiti. He is known for his hands-on construction knowledge, organizational and leadership abilities bringing in projects safely, on time, within budget and with quality commensurate with the contract for a wide range of clients and extremely low turnover of staff. Currently a Chief of Party on a USAID funded program, Mr. Kaneshiro is responsible for managing the Haiti Infrastructure Program (HIP). Throughout his career, Mr. Kaneshiro held numerous roles as a Chief of Party, Project and Construction Manager, Subcontract Manager, Project Engineer, Cost/Schedule Engineer, Superintendent, Estimator, Construction/Office Engineer, Civil Design Coordinator and Environmental Technician for clients including USAID, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, NAVFAC, various U.S. city/state governments and private firms. As an active member of the construction management community, he initiated the Construction Management Association of America (CMAA) Hawaii Chapter and served the organization as their Vice President. He also continued this effort in Afghanistan to promote construction education programs for the local construction and engineering community. Mr. Kaneshiro holds as B.S. in Civil Engineering from the University of Hawaii and will be earning his CCM (Certified Construction Manager) this year.
