I promote energy efficiency and electrification in the industrial sector in the southwest states in which SWEEP operates. I encourage utilities in the southwest to adopt best practice energy efficiency programs for their industrial customers, including strategic energy management (SEM). I also promote electrification and other decarbonization technologies as these become cost-effective. I also promote electrification of residential and commercial buildings through promoting heat pumps and heat pump water heaters.
