Managing director, Terrapix. Terrapix applies remote sensing techniques (photogrammetry and LiDAR) from aircraft to supply products to private businesses, state government agencies and Aerometrex's I have small business experience creating and managing small teams to complete research and commercial projects for forestry, agricultural and natural resource management groups, state government agencies and universities. At the core of these projects is the capture, management and supply of digital models of landscapes. Information supplied includes orthoimagery, dense point clouds, crop vigour (normalized difference vegetation index), crop yield, topography and drainage models, soil conductivity, and soil physical and chemical properties. I have broad experience with precision agriculture, working with industry and horticultural research institutions, including using automated electromagnetic induction techniques to complete approximately HA of soil surveys (statistical kriging, soil physics and chemistry); linear correlation analysis of soil and crop parameters and aerial remote sensing (NDVI); and using GIS for raster analysis and map making. Projects have been completed for Tasmania and Sydney universities, forestry companies, Horticulture Innovation Australia Ltd, Simplot Australia and numerous private farmers and irrigators. I have worked as a fire management officer in Victoria and a remote area firefighter in Tasmania; on revegetation, weed and salinity control projects, as a drill rig assistant, a surveyor's assistant and an irrigation scheme operator. I currently volunteer with Tasmania Fire Service.
