Simply put - engineer at heart dedicated to the “spirit-of-excellence.” The “spirit-of- excellence” is a behavior or code-of-conduct that leads to superb systematic processes, committed culture, superior approaches and professionalism that delivers excellence. I am passionate about problem solving. My focus is to tailor solutions to meet the clients/employers goals and objectives. These solutions must be compliant with applicable regulations and standards. I strive to generate several solutions that solve the problem in an efficient cost-effective manner. My operational mantra is doing the job right the first-time. Dedication to excellence is a prerequisite for success, personal or business related. I strive to teach my employees and students the cost of success is the commitment to excellence. One needs to count the cost prior to any worthwhile endeavor. Candidly, it's an ongoing challenge to meet this standard. The following maxims express my "vision" of what is required for successful outcomes in today’s complex business world. • Treat others the way you want to be treated. • Prevention is more important than mitigation. • Leaders are anxiously engaged and constantly challenging for continuous improvement. • It is not about one time, it is about continuously and repetitive performance. • I am committed and dedicated to prioritizing my safety first, protecting the environment second and my assets third….always. • I don’t shoot from the hip, I remain disciplined in my approach to solving problems and performing my responsibilities. • Listen and learn from others (i.e, emotional intelligence). • Leaders walk-the- talk. As an EH & S professional in project management, regulatory compliance, performance oversight, process engineering, training and teaching on a collegian level I strive to implement the "maxims" in my personal life and professional career.
