About Neil Morley

As the Head of Short Courses at Abbey College, I was responsible for developing and running English language short courses and summer schools in our 70-acre campus for international boarding students. This included designing courses and selecting appropriate materials as well as hiring and mentoring our team of teachers to make sure that lessons were beneficial and engaging for our visiting students. I pride myself on having made sure that the students who stayed with us had a positive, memorable experience and I liaised with the rest of the boarding team to ensure this. We taught many Ukrainian and Iranian students in the last few years and had to be sensitive to their ongoing situations. Fortunately, as a small school, we had ample opportunity to give 1:1 mentoring to help them deal with their adverse experiences. I have now decided to set myself new challenges in education, I am currently mentoring but open to interesting and worthwhile opportunities.
