About Neil Orourke

A highly-experienced Architect with an RIBA/ARB First Class Hons Degree in Architecture from UU Belfast, Prof. Diploma in Architectural Practice from TU Dublin and a Registered Architect with RIAI. In 10+ years since M.Arch I have grown to perform both as a Lead Project Architect for [multidisciplinary] projects €5-10m budget, or as the Detailed Design + Production Information backbone for large complex projects €30-40m Budget, via various levels of BIM + various forms of contract. My private practice experience, ranging from Carlow, Kilkenny, Belfast, Dublin, Amsterdam and Hong Kong, covers a very broad range of building typologies including Commercial Office + Workplace (MDO), Hotel + Hospitality (ALT, MDO), Civic, Cultural (Reddy A+U), Retail, Restaurant, Recreational (ALT), Masterplan, Mixed Use (MDO), Cinema (HBD) and Residential (ALT, MDO, JVM, Reddy A+U). As a technically-strong Senior Architect, key specialisms gained in the first decade of my career include production information processes and design delivery procedures, also completing a Cert in BIM Project Management from RICS, London. In recent years I also have growing interests (and certified CPD) in Sustainable Urban Design, particularly High-Density Living and Compact Urban Growth - drawing on my international employment experiences from Amsterdam and Hong Kong.
