Primary function as a Creative Producer, I begin with an idea then development it through; pre-production; production; post-production; distribution; and exhibition. It all starts with developing the idea with a writer then a screenwriter for further development into screenplay format. As a screenwriter, minimalism is the objective form to master. The purpose for the screenplay is to create a blueprint for a movie and a business plan. My job is to tell a certain kind of story as crisply and efficiently as possible, in an effort to get others enthused about forming a team and raising a production budget to make a movie. Simple as that! As Producer, I manage the production from start to finish, organize people and resources needed for filming. Responsibilities include: create content; read scripts; identify sources of funding and raise finances for projects; work out what resources are needed; check and approve locations; plan filming schedules; hire the necessary technical resources and support services; recruit key production staff and crew and get involved in casting; manage cash flow; make sure that the production stays on schedule and within budget. Skill-sets: a good knowledge of the production process; excellent communication and people skills; creativity and vision; good presentation and negotiation skills; leadership and management ability; a good dose of confidence, assertiveness and motivation. As Director I am responsible for the look and sound of a production and its technical standards, ensuring that the final program is faithful to the original concept. I understand the significance of scenes and how they fit into the overall program structure as well as knowing what is happening within each scene as it is shot. I block all aspects of the script and conduct script read-throughs with actors. I am diplomatic with cast, crew, studio staff and executives. I have a methodical approach to work, along with a high stress tolerance and stamina.
