About Neil Thomsett

I help to ensure that Adler Fairways deliver a first class service and that the right resources are made available to enable the business to perform. I'm passionate about strategic planning, problem solving, driving change and generally just being someone that ‘makes things happen’. I've worn many hats before ending up in insurance broking, working as a paralegal, researcher, event organiser, marketer and even boat skipper! As a result, I feel that I have developed a unique ability to understand and appreciate a range of industries, viewpoints and business strategies. I think this has really helped me when managing multi-disciplinary projects within our brokerage and working with both internal and external stakeholders. I also hold a master’s degree from the University of Birmingham as well as Diplomas in both Insurance and Management. My role heading up the Group Resources team is a key operations position within the UKGI Group. I work on acquisition activities, business strategy and the analysis/improvement of company functions. My job also involves oversight of Compliance, IT, HR, Marketing and Estates. It’s an extremely varied role and no two days are the same! I love the variety that my role brings and the brilliant people that I get to work with – at Adler Fairways, the wider UKGI Group, our insurer partners and our suppliers. I have always taken what happens to the business personally and anytime I am asked for input or to make a decision, I do so as if the business were my own.
