About Neil Venables

An extensive career with world leading brands such as adidas and Intersport, I was able to gain expertise in all aspects of the sporting goods industry uniquely from both the supplier and customer perspective. It also enabled me to live out my passion for sport whilst developing my career. Working with One iota I saw the need to continually enrich the customer experience with true Omni channel as well as create opportunities to increase revenues. With the market expected to grow by 68% in Mobile Commerce and people spending 88% of their time on apps, I drove a revenue stream in a newly established Sports Channel of around £1.1m for 2021/2022 year and opened access through building strategies to take advantage of the European sports industry worth around £190bn by 2024 with a cagr of 6.6% I'm since January 2022 in the exciting position of Commercial Director for FootBalance, driving new technology, customer experience, retailer advantages in terms of personalization and service, with solid evidence of growing profitability, average basket sizes and new revenue streams with data opportunities and insights. I’m developing the International markets as well as driving the Global strategy with the Leadership team. I bring my own brand of energy and motivation as a leader and have adopted a supporting and focused coaching-manager style, passionate about developing people preparing them to grow in an increasingly challenging marketplace.
