About Neil Willson

Why me? As a highly experienced and qualified leader, executive coach and trainer, I have a real passion for unlocking complex leadership and people performance challenges….ultimately, I get a buzz out of helping people. In recent years I have worked worldwide teaching, coaching, mentoring and where necessary being robust but sensitive to the needs of individuals and teams as they develop and fulfil their true potential. I’m not fazed by technical jargon in any industry or walk of life and have a huge depth of knowledge and understanding of how people throughout any organisation think, act and behave. My experience is extensive and ranges from global business to small start-ups at all levels from CEO right down to the shop floor. What do I offer? I focus our attention on mindset. If for instance, I see myself as a technical specialist, then I will behave like one. If, however, my beliefs shift so that I see myself as a manager, leader or coach, then my energy will re-focus on developing the skills and knowledge necessary to make it a reality. I create bespoke learning interventions that focus on creating great leaders and high performing teams that are practical and accept that one size doesn't fit all. My approach is one of individual consideration. You are the customer, as is every delegate and their individual experience will be different based on their circumstances and need. I promise to challenge your thinking, inspire you and motivate your people to be the best they believe they can be! Who am I? A Chartered Fellow of the CMI, NLP Practitioner and AMAC Student at the Manchester Business School; I hold an MA from Kings College London. Served 27 years in the Royal Marines, last appointment, Commanding Officer of the Commando Training Centre. My client list includes: Unilever, BBC, Deutsche Bank, Thomson Reuters, Maersk Oil, Scott Brownrigg, Oscar Mayer, EDF Energy, EIP, Viridor, Deloitte, Total, Magnox, EC Harris, Sellafield Ltd, NFU, DEFRA, Exeter & Warwick University and the College of Policing. Very family orientated, I’m married to Melanie and have one daughter Eleanor and Oakley the Golden Retriever dog. I like all sports particularly anything on or in water, beach volleyball, skiing, tennis and watching Exeter Chiefs Rugby Team.
