Background
About Nelda Fulghum
I have worked over 35 years in the field of Early Childhood Education as both an educator and a director of 3 large high quality child care programs. As an administrator I continually search for the latest in new educational techniques and incorporate into my practices those which I think will be beneficial to the families and children I serve. I am a certified instructor with Sign2Me Early Learning Resources teaching sign language to families and staff working with infants and toddlers. I also work with the Council for Professional Recognition as a Professional Development Specialist assessing adults who have applied for a Child Development Associate Credential; these candidates work with children in a childcare classroom environment. I have received certification in A.C.E.(Adverse Childhood Experiences) and am a TN DHS approved trainer teaching ECE topics to staff and families. I love my job; what better job than to work with children and adults who love them!
