About Nele Groosman

ICT4D practitioner with 12 years of experience driving data-driven decision-making in the social impact sector, of which 7 years based in Kenya and Senegal. Over the years, I’ve worn many hats—implementation specialist, project manager, product designer, product manager—each role sharpening my ability to bridge technology and impact. I take immense pride in creating tools—whether it's an app or a dashboard—that empower people to achieve better outcomes in their lives. Seeing my work make a meaningful difference and drive impactful results is what fuels my passion and motivates me every day. Most recently, my work focused on improving the user experience (UX) of the Viamo Platform, an IVR (voice-based) service delivered in collaboration with local telecom providers. The Viamo Platform offers a wide range of social and behavior change communication (SBCC) content in local languages, accessed by approx. 8 million people monthly across 20+ countries.
