About Nella Nisco

I am a natural born leader and have a passion for coaching and developing staff to support clients as individuals and create a positive and lasting influence. I am an experienced Business Development Manager within the Disability sector who works hard to complete any tasks set before me with a positive attitude which allows successful results. I have a mix of knowledge, skills and life experience to successfully undertake all requirements. In addition to my management experience I have over 23 years of “lived disability experience” with over 5 years at Assured Home Care as Rostering Officer, Client Services Coordinator, Assistant Manager Community Services, Manager Community Services and Senior Manager Client Services. I have overseen 40 internal staff and 290 support workers across multiple departments including Plan Management, Support Coordination, Community Services, SIL, Intake, Nursing, Rostering and Implementing Provider. I am a mother of 6 adult children, which includes 3 with significant disabilities. My passion is to provide person centred supports for all people living with disabilities and to ensure supports are safe, inclusive and fun. I have volunteered at my local council as a member of the Disability Advisory Committee and at the Crippled Children’s Association I was an advisor to new parents whilst assisting the Regional Manager and then later at Novita participating as a parent representative on the Consumer Reference Group. I have been involved in many Governing Councils at special schools and I have been honoured in becoming a Life Member at Modbury Special School
