About Nelsie Amar

With a strong background in financial, managerial roles for multi-national companies, I am looking for a position in financial management. My time at Ernst & Young and successive posts working for various companies with diverse activities and environments, gave me experience managing M&A, US GAAP, IFRS, statutory auditing, accounting, consolidation, French norms, Industry & services, to name a few. My most recent position at Ecocem was a time of real professional growth and career satisfaction. It was a growing business in an international environment and I was responsible for a great team, managing industrial controlling, credit management, tax and Human Resources. This time was cut short by a different sort of opportunity moving abroad as expats. After 3 years in Brazil, my family and I are now based in Austin, Tx, where my children are happily settled in school and it is time to think about the next big challenge. The expat years have been incredible. I have been there for my kids during their most formative years while taking advantage of the career break to do explore other worlds. I volunteered in the Brazilian favelas in Sao Paulo, took a photography class and am now a decent tennis player! However, the call of the profession is strong and I am ready to get back to a professional environment.
