Nelson Roque has many years of experience in research and teaching related to international politics, economics, and security. He has worked in the ESG environment (RepRisk), the academic field (Center for European Studies), teaching (Higher Institute of International Relations), culture (Cuban Book Institute), journalism (Cubavision Internacional TV channel) and business (Vancorp). His areas of academic expertise comprise 1) European integration and the EU institutional system; 2) Transatlantic relations (economic, political and security dimensions). NATO issues; 3) Foreign policies of the US and major European countries (Germany, France, UK, Italy and Spain); 4) Development cooperation policies; 5) the UN system; 6) Problems of globalization and development; 7) US and EU policies towards Latin America and the Caribbean; 8) Canada’s foreign policy. In addition to that, Nelson Roque possesses experience in international trade (import-export issues and logistics), translation and interpretation, web edition and institutional administration.
