About Nemanja Kovacev

I am a surgeon and engineer who leads expert teams to solve complex challenges at the intersection of healthcare, business, and software engineering. My career has been a journey to acquire a 360-degree perspective necessary to drive meaningful digital transformation in the life sciences industry. My foundation is in clinical medicine as a practicing consultant Orthopedic and Trauma Surgeon. This hands-on experience provides me with a deep understanding of patient needs, the realities of clinical workflows, and the standards of evidence-based practice. To build the tools I knew were needed, I spent seven years as a hands-on software engineer, progressing from junior to senior roles while shipping commercial Android applications. This technical depth allows me to lead engineering teams with credibility and to architect robust, scalable, and compliant digital health solutions. To ensure these solutions create sustainable business value, I earned an MBA at Quantic University and specialized in AI in Healthcare at Stanford University. This enables me to align technological capabilities with market needs and complex regulatory landscapes. Currently, as the Head of the Healthcare & Life Sciences Center of Excellence at HTEC, I lead a multi-disciplinary team of expert consultants. We drive practice growth and build strategic partnerships with enterprise clients, helping them navigate the complexities of digital health innovation from concept to launch. My focus is on building and leading teams that bridge the gap between clinical need and scalable technology.
