About Nerissa Street

Nerissa Street is a multiple award-winning teacher, digital storyteller and corporate trainer. She writes, directs and produces new, wiser stories for powerful, sustainable change. Nerissa is also a proficient grant writer, community impact manager, and RFP consultant, and is proficient in Artificial Intelligence (AI) prompt engineering. Nerissa Street is a two-time speaker at the SXSW EDU global conference, and has done a TEDx talk. Her teen media lab, Girls Call The Shots, was a Knight Arts Challenge finalist. An academically trained theatre artist and certified educator, Street takes a 21st century approach to personal development using both technology and physiology to move people past real barriers to their goals. She was awarded the National Education Association's Learning and Leadership Grant. She has hosted Deepak Chopra, Maya Angelou, Barry Gibbs, Rabbi Mitchell Chevitz, Brian Weiss, Eric Jerome Dickey, Tananarive Due, and many other authors and personalities. Transformational Work Nerissa's award-winning, paradigm shifting work has been presented across the world. Her trademarked presentation, No More Starving Artists™ led her to become a founding member of South Florida’s Artist as Entrepreneur (AEI) Program to help artists end their dependence on grants. Her work has been featured in local media and she is published nationally. She has spoken to the audiences of Images and Voices of Hope, The Motherhood Foundation, the Human Services Coalition and Women in Distress. For that innovative work, she was the only woman invited to speak at the inaugural TEDxMIA (now TEDxMiami) conference. Her talk, Beyond the Lucky Break™, distilled the success stories of relatively unknown artists into 4 minutes of power, busting the starving artist myth. She has advanced training from the Center for Mind-Body Medicine and her work was featured on South Florida PBS. She's quietly helped thousands of professionals to trust their story to lead a joyful, authentic life.
